What is the procedure to add freon to 1996 Cadillac 4.6L?

if you have repaired the reason that its low connect r134a to low pressure side coupling near accumulator and fill with 36ozs if its empty. if comp wont run disconnect battery for about 5 mins. this will reset comp control.
