How to fix Ticking sound constant only stops when signal lights are used for 1996 Ford Contour?

welcome to hell!!! its an easy fix, the quick cheap way is to replace the signal relay in the steering colum, a more expensive fix, and prob the one you will need to do is to replace the signal swtich intirely. I had it fixed (after triing to replace the relays) by the mechanic, and its been sweet blissfully silent since.
