To clean the carburetor you must first remove the center plastic cover and then disconnect the fuel tap and loosen the air box attachment so that it will come off when needed. lastly undo the two 10mm blots securing the manifold and carbie to the head. there is two small Phillips head screws on either side of the carb and to pull it apart undo these. once apart do not let any foreign material into the bowl or other parts of the carb. make sure the little pin the holds the float in doesn't slide out if you tilt the carb because it can be hard to find and then the float valve also falls out and is just as hard to find. remove these carefully and note how they assembled prior to removal. To clean you must take out both jets and give a blow out with an air compressor and then check to see if you can light threw either one, if the light is partially bocked or you cant see light threw it, that means there is crap in the jet and it must be subject to further cleaning, if you cannot clear the jet replace it, remember to replace the needle as well if you replace the main jet. Be sure to give all passages and cavities a good blow out before re-assembling the carbie.
