How old do people usually get cellphones?

I got my cell phone when I went into middle school when I was 10. It is different for everybody, though. Maybe you are going into middle school, but you dont have a phone. Its not because your parents dont love you! Your parents will get you a cell phone when they think you need one/are mature enough for one.
