What is the name of the biggest bee?

The largest bee in the UK is a bumblebee, in particular the queen Bombus terrestris, otherwise known as the buff-tailed bumblebee or large earth bumblebee. The queen is between 2 and 2.7cm long, and the workers are 1.5 to 2cm long.
