What does the eclpise cover mean twilight?

SPOILERS! The title ECLIPSE refers to a part of the story, in that book, where Jacob Black refers to Bella Swan as the sun. He says he can fight the clouds (evil vampires) but is powerless in an eclipse which is odd because werewolves (actually Jacob is a shapeshifter) love eclipses! Eclipse means moon covers sun.
