To test the ignition coil on a 1994 Camaro, first, disconnect the negative battery cable. Then, remove the coil's electrical connector and use a multimeter to measure the primary resistance across the two terminal pins; it should typically read between 0.5 to 1.5 ohms. Next, check the secondary resistance by measuring between the terminal and the ignition wire; this should be around 6,000 to 20,000 ohms. If the readings are outside these ranges, the coil may need to be replaced.
