Homelite chainsaw 240 it leaks oil from the bar oiler continuously any suggestions?

The duckbill, vent valve in your oil tank must not be working. Pressure that builds in the oil tank while the saw is running pushes out the oil onto the bar. If the vent isn't working then the oil continues to oooze out even after you shut the saw down.

To test it, the next time try loosening the oil cap some after you finish running the saw and see if the probelm continues.

You may also have a leaky oil tank or oil line.
