Was fergie from the black eyed peas ever in the pussycat dolls?

A lot of people have wondered this. They were a band together, then wandered from each other when Fergie went solo in her singing career. Yet, they recently came out with "I gotta feeling" and "Boom Boom Pow" as a band. Fergie remains a solo singer, but still sings with the band as well!
