What sets the ceremony of Twelve apart fro the other age ceremonies in the Giver?

The Ceremony of Twelve is a very important time in a child's life in the community because they receive their Assignments which will determine what they will be doing in the future. And Jonas (12) was the main character and so the author put more detail in it.
