What type of art did Michelangelo do?

Most famous of all Michael Angelo is known for his creation of the Murals that adorns the ceiling and altar walls of the Sistine Chapel. The celing being a scene from Genesis and the Altar walls murla representing The Last Judgment. Also he created the Statue "David" and "The Pieta" which is currently located in Vatican City.

To this day Michael Angelo's arts have been repeatedly duplicated and he is famous for his contributions into the artistic world.
