A parrot would be incomparable to a human on most sections of any standardized IQ test(As would all animals), with notable exceptions being the Parrots unique ability to develop limited vocabulary. The measurement of anima intelligence is only gaining steam in recent years due to the assumption that language is the exclusive province of humans being called into question. As a result, there have been no good studies on the average intelligence of a parrot, however, individual animals have been recorded with abilities similar to human beings with moderate mental retardation, a clinical description diagnosed using multiple factors, with a typical IQ estimated between 50-60.
