There in no postal code, no ZIP code, no number identifing building and locality in Lebanon. The postal system still very old and "archaïque". To indicate an address in a town you must know :
- The name of the street ;
- The name of the building ;
- Sometime the name of a store or something people know (supermarket, bakery, etc.) ;
- the name of the person ;
- the floor.
If you are in a very small town or a village, there is no street name. So you must find a guide to indicate an address. It could be a school, a supermarket, a doctor, or anything else...
In Beirut, some building has a number but not all and people don't use them.
We can say this is like the "Middle Age".
