How does the breathing of plants and animals complement each other?

In photosynthesis, plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, which is what humans and animals need to live. Although much of this oxygen is released in the oceans, forests and other plants contribute to its production.

By removing carbon from the atmosphere, plants reduce the absorption of relected solar heat and make Earth cooler than it otherwise would be.
