Did Mohammad ascend to heaven after death?

In Islamic belief, the Prophet Muhammad is said to have experienced the Isra and Mi'raj, a miraculous night journey where he ascended to heaven while still alive, not after his death. This event is significant in Islam, as it is believed to have occurred in the year 621 CE, during which he met various prophets and was given instructions about prayer. After his death in 632 CE, he did not ascend to heaven; instead, he is believed to have passed away and been buried in Medina.
