In the fuel tank.

AnswerThe filter is part of the fuel pump assembly. It's combined with the fuel pressure regulator (unless you have a steel tank). there is something that looks like a fuel filter next to the tank on the passenger side in front of the rear wheel but on my car it says it's not a serviceable unit it's an accumulator. Any rate here a link that explains what I'm talking about... http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/AZ/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/19/91/21/0900823d80199121.jsp

Scroll to the bottom of the page. P.S. that fuel filter is very basic on these cars the injectors where designed to be self cleaning and purge themselves of most of the junk.
