What steps will you take to properly format your reference page?

  1. I will first determine in what format the reference page should appear: MLA, APA, bibliographic, etc.

Since I am most familiar with MLA, I would format my reference page thusly:

  1. I would center at the top of the page the Words, "Work Cited."
    1. If the author is unknown, I would list by the editor, or the title of the work.
  2. In alphabetical order, I would list in double space each of my reference by author.
  3. If a citation was longer than a single line, I would indent the second line five spaces.
  4. I would double space between citations.
  5. I would place in the header, at the right side of the page my last name and the page number.
