CAPACITY BUILDING INITIATIVES

The department embarked on intensive capacity building initiatives at the District Assembly and the secretariat level. The following were some of the activities undertaken in areas of capacity building;

• Refresher course for assembly members and National Volunteers of the 28 newly created Districts
• Refresher course for Assembly Members of Metropolitan and Municipal Assemblies ( 14)
• Training of Members of staff of NALAG
• Organization of Conferences
• Women Caucus Activities
• Missions
• CIP internship programme
• Coordinating of ALGP activities
