This is Lisa's response to an email she received from a viewer asking her the same question:
I have lost a few pounds; thanks for noticing! I kind of do my own version of the low carb diet. I eat as many fruits and vegetables as I want, whatever kind I want, but I cut out pasta, bread, sugar, etc. I am in love with sugar-free popsicles, Apples, protein shakes and chicken. It was an adjustment the first few weeks, as I was living on sugar and carbs beforehand, but I don't find it difficult now. I eat a lot of salads and I think that I am healthier than I was before. I definitely think if you lose weight it has to be in a healthy way, otherwise the side effects might be more than you bargained for.
And, I have been working out with weights and a personal trainer once a week and doing Pilates and/or walking in between.
