I am surprised that, to the best of my knowledge, there is not one site where students (and other broke literary types) can read this classic online, for free. I checked all the large free online libraries and came up with nothing. I think you'll have to purchase it; you should be able to find a used copy fairly easily. Good luck! P.S. If you absolutely HAVE to have something to work with, you can view the 1945 version online at: www.thefilmwall.com -- I'm not sure if it follows the novel closely or not but you could compare the film with Spark Notes or the Something (?) Monkey notes that are available online.
