Got the owner's manual? It will have the tune-up intervals listed in the back. Some newer vehicles get their first tune-up at 100,000 miles. And then- You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library.

A "tune-up" would include:

  • Spark plugs
  • Spark plug wires (optional but recommended)
  • Fuel filter
  • Air filter
  • PCV valve
  • A thorough throttle body cleaning

A fuel system cleaning, either professionally done or aggressive DIY (ex. Seafoam directly into the induction system) should be a regular system maintenance service also.

See "Related Questions" below for more change oil, oil filter, plugs, wires . etc. getting the plugs may be difficult (the rear ones. ) what i do is i remove the windshield cowl and reach down from above. some people get them from underneath

The local dealership states $425.00. That included new wires, plugs, air & fuel filter.

you will need fuel filter, air filter spark plugs i prefer platinum plugs, wire set,oil and filter some wind stars have a fresh air filter on cowl
