How do you know if your goldfish is a boy or a girl by action?

The only way you may be able to tell the difference is during breeding if you have at least one male & one female. The male will chase the female and poke his head against her side & belly to try to get her to release eggs.
Otherwise they behave the same way without knowing which is which.
