Who is better guard dog bull mastiff or a German shepherd?

A German Shepherd is a naturally a guarding dog with Excellent skills.

They will restrain your intruder and won't actually maul the intruder and normally not inflict deadly harm to an intruder.

Whereas a Bull Mastiff would probably actually aim to kill someone if provoked. You obviously don't want a lawsuit on your case.
