Can rats hop

Rats are not known for hopping in the way that animals like kangaroos do. However, they can make quick, agile movements and can jump short distances, typically up to about two feet. Their strong hind legs allow them to spring off the ground when needed, especially when escaping predators or navigating obstacles. Overall, while they don't hop in a traditional sense, they are quite capable of jumping.
