What do greenflys do in the winter?

They lay eggs with a very tough coat to help the eggs survive in the cold. Then the old Greenfly die and the new, hatch out of the eggs in the spring!

But ladybirds feed on greenfly so the ladybirds have to hibernate in cracks of the bark and under dead leaves.
