Piercings take a fairly long time to heal, especially depending on the part of your body. Your nose has so much cartilage in it that it is very important to keep your jewelry in for at least 2- 3 months. Make sure to be using a salt water soak (1/2 cup warm water, 1/8 teaspoon salt), it will improve your healing time, but over soaking can lead to overdrying. keeping it clean with an antibacterial soap (dial) works well, as long as you don't over do it. Twice a day until it gets better will be helpful! Avoid dirty hands and wash it gently in the shower. A good rule of thumb, if it won't go out without bleeding or intense pain, let it heal for a little longer. :)
That's the information that we send piercees home with, and as always, if you have questions don't hesitate to ask the person who pierced you! It's what they do for a living, and they usually have some pretty good advice. :)
