Is it okay to get pregnant at the age of 12?

NO, a 12 year old should not get pregnant. If you are thinking of trying to get pregnant think of this: At this age, your body is not yet fully developed, nor are you fully emotionally developed. At such a young age you haven't even finished going through puberty. Also, it is a tremendous responsibility to raise a child. It is a life-long responsibility that requires a lot of time, patience, attention, hard work, money and dedication. The idea of becoming a mother may seem appealing, but you have to think about what this would do to your life, your parent's lives, and the life of the innocent baby.

How would you support it? What would you do when it got sick and you didn't know what to do? You can't expect your parents to step in and raise the baby for you just because you thought it would be "cool" to have a baby. Stop and think! What kind of life would you have watching all your friends going out and having fun, while you are home tending a crying, teething baby with colic. And you also have to think about sexually transmitted diseases; they can also be passed on to an unborn child. If you are already pregnant, PLEASE tell your parents immediately! They can't help you if they don't know what is going on.

Also, a 12 year old is far too young for sex, there are too many emotional and physical responsibilities that go along with having sex, and you are simply not ready for it at such a young age.
