What is the meaning of the phrase 'pimp my ride'?

A pimp is a man who employs prostitutes and takes a share of their earnings. Pimps traditionally dress in expensive clothes and drive fancy cars that have a lot of extra decoration. Therefore, the term pimp has come to mean "to decorate or improve to the highest point that you can." Pimping your ride means fixing up your automobile so that it has the latest gear and fanciest decoration.
