Dolphins are a salt water creature and could live in a saltwater pond, but only if the pond had everything that aquarium tanks that house dolphins have. This includes tank size and water circulation, filtration, changing (removal and replacing water), temperature,... that a tank support system has. As this doesn't happen in nature such a pond would be a man made tank that looks like a pond.
