I have had two baby water turtles for two months and I have seen the one turtle eat a gravel rock twice so far even after I feed him WHAT CAN I DO?

i just got a baby river cooter and from all my experience over the years i can tell u when they eat a rock or the gravel it means

1. He/She is neglected or under fed

2. He/she is lonely

and in ur case i assume.

Increased activity, agitation, and lack of appetite in early summer may be the cause

have u been making him do to much like playing with him on land it can shock them and will get them well to be frank CRAZYI hope i helped
