Mice are born through a process called gestation, where female mice, or does, carry their developing embryos in their uterus. After a gestation period of about 19 to 21 days, the mother gives birth to a litter of baby mice, known as pups. These pups are born hairless, blind, and helpless, relying entirely on their mother for warmth and nourishment until they mature enough to open their eyes and begin to explore their environment.
