How do you know that killer whales are mammals?

Whales breathe surface air (no gills, they just hold their breath for a really long time), give birth to their young (vs. eggs), and are warm blooded (maintain their own body temperature).

For example, most sharks on the other hand are fish, having gills and being cold-blooded.
