All circulation halves dated 1971 and later are made of copper-nickel so they have no added value.
Uncirculated ones are generally worth $1.50-$16 depending on date and quality.
Proof versions are $1-$3 for average strikes. Some extraordinary ones in the topmost grades can sell for much more, however.
The mint also struck 40%-silver collectors' halves for the 1976 Bicentennial; these retail for $3 to $8, with top-quality strikes worth more as usual.
Starting in 1992 the Mint has made "prestige" half dollars in the original 90% silver alloy used up till 1964. Values range from $8 or so to $60+ depending on date and quality.
