What is the purpose of having harrows for a farm?

A harrow is a tool used by farmers on land which has been ploughed. It is dragged over the earth to break up lumps of earth (clods) and level the ground to make it suitable for seed planting, as well as to uproot weeds and to cover the seeds after planting.
