Were shrooms ever legal

There has NEVER been a recorded death or hospitalization due to LSD overdose. LSD is an extraordinarily safe drug, in terms of addictiveness, and damage it does to the body. LSD has not been shown to damage any organ, or cause brain damage(don't listen to the Propaganda, listen to science). LSD does not remain in your body at all. Yes, you can have flashbacks, but they are merely that, flashbacks. The same flashbacks you have to your Grandma's 70th birthday party.

So, why is it illegal? The same reason any other 'soft' drugs are. The government felt like making them illegal.
