Why would you still have no spark on a 1989 GMC 3500 5.7 van after installing a new distributor and coil?

Start by having your ignition control module checked.AutoZone and Advance Auto will check these parts for free. That is most likely your problem. I believe your model gm it will be in the distributor.If this doent work contact me and i could give you other possible problems.
