measure of volume, with dimensions [L3]. A gram is a measure of
mass, with dimensions [M]. Basic dimensional analysis teaches that
you cannot convert between measures with different dimensions
without additional information. A little thought will make it clear
that 1 gram of air will occupy far more volume than 1 gram of lead,
for example.
