How do you get obsidian fast in Minecraft?

Find a source of water and lava. Make some buckets and put water in them. Then go to your lava source and put the water in it. Just remember that it's dangerous to play with lava. You should always keep one bottle of water in case you start burning. Obsidian can only be mined with diamond pickaxes.
