Can turkys fly

Wild turkeys are capable of flying fairly long distances of up to a few hundred meters/yards.

Domestic turkeys in a feed lot, are capable of flying if they escape confinement, but generally are kept in conditions that do not allow flight - to keep their musclature tender and edible.
