How do you remove the fuel filter on your 1996 Pontiac sunfire?

One end of the filter is a quick connect. The other end is threaded. You should use two wrenches on the threaded end to avoid damaging the fuel line. The operation of the quick connect on the other end will become obvious once you purchase and take a look at the replacement.

My Haynes manual suggests relieving the fuel system pressure prior to removing the filter. To do this, loosen the fuel filler cap, then remove the fuel filter relay. Try to start the car and let it run until it dies. Turn off the key and proceed with the replacement.
