Should you drop the transmission pan and replace the screenfilter when changing the transmission fluid or just do a transmission flush without dropping pan?

first time before 100,000 miles yes, 1st time after no, presure change from a clean screen will affect band adjustments....another can of worms...after 100,000 miles suggest take it too a pro
