Boy, what a helpful and informative answer. You have no idea why the person asked that question. Maybe they have a relative who they are concerned about, or maybe they used before they knew they were pregnant. It's judgmental people like you who keep our drug policies in the draconian, unfair state they're in right now. Instead of persecuting those who need help, how about a little compassion? And you're wrong, incidentally: There's no long term data showing that a baby will "die young" or not be able to "do stuff normally"
How about you back up your outrageous fear mongering statements with some actual data?
As for the person who asked the question, I can't say with 100% certainty, but I believe that the only SLIGHT thing they've found with these babies is that they might be a bit more irritable as infants, and minor issues. And the fact is, most of those mothers drank alcohol or did other drugs as well, so it's hard to say what caused what.
