help what exactly? If you are talking about science, it helps scientist get a look inside of the body. you may think that dissection is unnessesary, but if your dog is sick, wouldn't you want the vet to know what is wrong with him/her. if they have to apply the knowlegde of surgery, they need to know whats going on. hope that helped!
