Can peace be achieved by war?

Peace achieved through war is often temporary and fraught with complications. While military conflict can sometimes end oppressive regimes or resolve disputes, it often leads to significant loss of life, trauma, and destruction. True and lasting peace usually requires dialogue, reconciliation, and addressing the underlying issues that led to conflict in the first place. Thus, while war may create a pause in hostilities, it rarely results in genuine peace.
