Can ants break their bones

Ants do not have bones like vertebrates; instead, they possess an exoskeleton made of chitin. This exoskeleton provides structural support and protection but is not susceptible to breaking in the same way bones are. Instead of breaking, an ant may become damaged if the exoskeleton is cracked or punctured. If injured, ants can sometimes repair their exoskeleton through molting, although this process can take time and energy.
