The thing is, instead of fitting the monster in your UFO, get to the city early, bodysnach a cop, and raise the alert level because the Cops, Tanks, and Army men will shoot the monster. Don't go out of your body too early or the army will kill you but you will re-spawn again. this takes about 20-30 minutes.
