Can you put insurance on a car that isn't yours?

I have. I added my brother's SUV to my Geico policy, though they required me to add my brother as an additional driver because I am not the registered owner of the vehicle. Easy peasey cake n pie!

P.S. Make sure the other driver has a clean driving record, as you could send your premium through the roof.
