How do you get unlimited items in Pokemon Red and blue?

I know that this glitch works in red, not sure about the other ones. Just give it a try and see what happens. This is how I do it:

1. Set the item that you want multiplied as the 6th item in your list.

2. Go to Viridian city and talk to the old man pacing near the little girl. Let him show you how to catch a Pokemon.

3. Fly directly to Cinnabar island and surf up and down the right coast as close as you can without coming up on land.

4. You will see many Pokemon with high levels like Aerodactyl lv 164. Run from these until you see "Missingno." or " 'M ". They are basically the same only 'M is lv 80 instead of 167 or whatever. Fight or run from whichever one you find and that 6th item will now have a strange symbol next to it. It is now worth at least 100 and you can always redo the cheat.

REMEMBER: YOU MUST TALK TO THE OLD MAN EVERY TIME RIGHT BEFORE YOU GO TO THE ISLAND!!
