There's different colored links on the cam chain, pull off the pull start cover, flywheel and next cover behind flywheel and line up all the marks on the chain and sprockets... it would be a lot more fun if you could see the bottom crankshaft timing sprocket just by taking off one cover but it's hidden deep in the engine and the flywheel is in the way to see it. There's not really any timing marks on the head to line anything up with exactly just the gold links on the chain from what I can see.
I didn't pull all the flywheel out, just went top dead centre on my bike and pointed the cam dots (2 dots) up the top and started straight up,
