What is phenmothorax?

Pneumothorax is a medical condition characterized by the presence of air in the pleural space, which can lead to the collapse of the lung on the affected side. It can occur spontaneously, as a result of trauma, or due to underlying lung diseases. Symptoms often include sudden chest pain and difficulty breathing. Treatment may involve observation, needle aspiration, or the placement of a chest tube to remove the air and allow the lung to re-expand.
